The First Baptist Church of Detroit is one of the oldest Baptist Churches in Michigan. As a community of faith; open and welcoming to all people. Our mission is to love God, love others, and serve the world.  We are a proud member of the American Baptist Churches USA, American Baptist Church Michigan, and the Metropolitan Detroit Association of American Baptist Churches and we support the principles of a historic Baptist faith seeking modern relevance.

We remain committed to a multi-racial, multi-cultural ministry and work with other non-Baptist faith groups in an ecumenical spirit of religious liberty. We ask for God's guidance and leadership for the church in this day as we live our calling as a people of God serving a risen Lord.
